Information BragStats Gathers and Tracks

BragStats gathers two types of information about users: (1) Information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions to receive our electronic newsletters, to participate in our refer a friend, e-mail, registering and from participation in polls and surveys; and (2) Information BragStats gathers through aggregated tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our sites. This information allows us to better tailor our content to Members’ needs and to help our advertisers and sponsors better understand the demographics of our audience. Because BragStats has the potential to derive a portion of its revenue from sponsorships and advertising, providing such aggregated demographic data is essential to keeping our service secure and running efficiently for our users. Under no circumstances does BragStats divulge any information about an individual user to a third party.

Use of Information

BragStats uses any information voluntarily given by our users to enhance their experience in our website, whether to provide interactive or personalized elements on the sites or to better prepare future content based on the interests of our users. As stated above, we use information that users voluntarily provide in order to send out electronic newsletters and to enable users to participate in polls and surveys. We may send out newsletters to subscribers on a regular schedule (depending on the newsletter), and occasionally send out special editions when we think subscribers might be particularly interested in something we are doing. BragStats never shares newsletter mailing lists with any third parties, including advertisers, sponsors or partners.

BragStats creates aggregate reports on user demographics and traffic patterns for advertisers, sponsors and partners. This allows our advertisers to advertise more effectively, and allows our users to receive advertisements that are pertinent to their needs. Because we don't track the usage patterns of individual users, an advertiser or sponsor will never know that a specific user clicked their ad. We will not disclose any information about any individual user except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public. surveys with our sponsors, advertisers and partners. In order to use the athletic or coaching database, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give personal, athletic, academic and statistical information. This information could be used to contact you about the products/services/ promotions on our website in which you have registered with.

If you order any information or subscribe to any services offered on the BragStats website, we will ask you to complete an order form that requires certain information, including payment information such as a credit card number and expiration date as well as general contact, billing and shipping information. We will use this information to complete the transaction, i.e., to deliver the information or other services you ordered, and to collect payment. For your protection, all such information is collected and stored through secure and encrypted measures.

We may offer a free electronic newsletter to users. BragStats gathers the email addresses of users who voluntarily subscribe and who register within the database. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the link provided in every newsletter that points users to the subscription management page. Users can also subscribe to the newsletters at the time of registration.

Children

Per our Child Privacy Policy and consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting parental consent. The BragStats website works with (and may provide links to) third party sites. Such third parties may permit children under the age of thirteen to register for these features on their sites in accordance with their respective privacy policies. BragStats strictly prohibits the use of its site for any person under the age of 13, and parents/guardians must manage and edit all aspects of any profiles for children under the age of 13 in adherence with BragStats’ Child Privacy Policy. Furthermore, BragStats strictly prohibits any contact or attempted contact by a member to any child under the age of 13. Any violation of these guidelines may lead to the restriction, suspension or termination of your account by BragStats, as we take these principles seriously and consider them to be the basis on which our Members adhere to the BragStats website and the services which it offers.Usage Tracking

BragStats tracks user traffic patterns throughout all of its site. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. BragStats does break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser). BragStats sometimes tracks and catalogs the search terms that users enter in our Search function, but this tracking is never associated with individual users. We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you.

Cookies

We may place a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain Personal Information although it will enable us to relate your use of this site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. BragStats uses cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above). Our advertising system delivers a one-time cookie to better track ad impressions and click rates. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use this site. However, you do need cookies to participate actively in message boards, forums, polling and surveys.

BragStats uses the above-described information to tailor our content to suit your needs and help our advertisers better understand our audience's demographics. This is essential to keeping our service up-to-date and secure. We will not share information about individual users with any third party, except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

BragStats operates secure data networks protected by eight (8) levels of firewalls and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our customers. BragStats also utilizes PayPal for all financial transactions between a Member and BragStats. PayPal is one of the most trusted third-party online transaction processing companies on the Internet. BragStats Children's Privacy Policy
BragStats strictly prohibits any child under the age of 12 to create their own BragStats account, update their profile and/or communicate with other members within the network. We respect the privacy of our children, and it is the full responsibility of the parent to determine which information to post on their child’s profile and to who has access to their profile. Should a subscriber knowingly violate the BragStats Children’s Privacy Policy, their account will be terminated.
BragStats is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, otherwise known as COPPA. We have posted our Children's privacy policy to help both children and parents understand how a child's personal information will be treated as they interact within our social networking website. This policy may be modified from time to time to better address your concerns or to reflect new changes in online policy, so please check back frequently.

What kind of personal information is collected and how is it used?
BragStats will not collect personal information about you or your child unless you provide it to us or publicly post it voluntarily and knowingly. We respect the privacy of children, it is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian to determine which information to post on their child’s profile and to who has access to their profile. The information collected may include you or your child's legal name, address, telephone number, email address, birth date and any pertinent sports related information, photos and videos.

We will not sell or rent your child's information to third parties under any circumstances. If you or your child has submitted personal information to us and would like to change it or remove it from our records, simply update your BragStats account or contact us at privacy@bragstats.com and we will delete the information.
Parental Control
Parents must control all aspects of their BragStats account and can prevent the further use or maintenance of such information, or direct the deletion of their children’s personal information by directly updating their BragStats account or by:
